Potty about Potter
Spotted this in a bookshop at Changi Airport. Funny they actually put "Embargoed- Do not open till 21 July 7.01 am" stickers on boxes which I think actually contained the books. Very effective and eye-catching advertisement though, not that the book needs any more publicizing.Pottermania has hit us again!
What with Movie No. 5- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix released on 11 July and the Book No. 7- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows released on 21 July, it's not hard to see why.
I think I've not been a very good fan of the series at all, since I have not pre-booked the book and neither did I wake up at 5 am on the 21st of July to queue up for a "cheaper" book at Tesco or Carrefour. I heard that the bookstores- MPH, Times have finally conceeded to sell their books at a 20% discount from RM 109.90, which is still over-priced considering the books are selling for only 5 pounds in the UK at Asda!

At least, I've watched the movie, which I thought was quite good with memorable lines like Hermione telling Ron, "You've got the emotional range of a teaspoon!" Haha. Ron's facial expression at that point and many times in the movie was simply hilarious. He's my favourite character both in the book and movie!
I've also been offered pirated PDF versions of the book. Haha. The things you can find on the Internet if you Google hard enough! However, previous experience has told me that reading the actual book is a lot kinder on the eyes so I'm wiser this time around!
Anyway, my brother told me he's already gotten a copy which I can only get next week when he has finished it. So those of you who have read the book, please don't spoil it for me, if you haven't already! =D
